Land of Song A D&D Campaign

Seraphine

Seraphine (seh-rah-FEEN) is the teenage daughter and apprentice of the merchant Tanwen, owner of Compass Rose Trading in Sunton.

She is exceptionally beautiful and polished — the sort of girl who can leave another teenager wondering why someone like her has chosen to speak with them. The answer is usually simple: she genuinely wants to.

She has her mother’s facial structure, but where Tanwen’s hair is red, Seraphine’s is blonde; where Tanwen has a serene, simple beauty, her daughter’s is closer to something out of a fairy tale. She met the party at the shop door in session 3, mid-remodel and dodging masons on the stairs, and went straight to the only question that mattered to her: are you going to help us rescue Rowen? She is outgoing, kind, considerate, respectful, and attentive; she remembers small details, asks sincere questions, includes people who are often overlooked, and has an unusual gift for making someone feel interesting rather than awkward.

She enjoys talking about friendships, ambitions, embarrassing moments, family frustrations, and especially romantic crushes. She listens without judgment and does not repeat what others tell her — the kind of confidante people are relieved to have.

For all that openness, hers is a guarded heart. She is open about ordinary matters but private about her deepest feelings: she may happily discuss which local boys are handsome while carefully avoiding the question of whom she truly likes. Friends may realize that she knows a great deal about them while revealing relatively little about her family’s past, her fears, or her most important hopes.

Her brother is among the Lost of Tyre — see Tanwen for the family’s search.
